This course combines the Basic Pistol and Concealed Carry Course into one course. The cost is $250 per person.
This class is for students who want to get their concealed weapons license but are not comfortable with a pistol. It’s also for students who have little to no firearm experience. Whether you want to start a new hobby, take added steps to protect yourself and loved ones, or you want to exercise your second amendment rights, this class will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and attitude to build a solid foundation so that the idea of owning/shooting a firearm won’t be so intimidating.
This Intro to Pistol & Concealed Carry Course discusses:
Firearm safety
Safe firearm storage
Pistol mechanism & operation of semi-automatic pistols and revolvers
How to properly load/unload firearms
Ammunition fundamentals
Proper pistol shooting skills, shooting positions, & common shooting errors
Clearing pistol stoppages
Pistol maintenance, selection & use
Where you can and cannot carry
Conceal carry dos and don’ts
Mental preparation
Violent encounters and the aftermath
The use of deadly force
Holsters

Students will then implement the shooting techniques and safety precautions taught in class by practicing at an outdoor gun range. Range time can be scheduled on the same day as the class, or separately, depending on range availability.
The cost is a flat fee of $250. The cost covers the range fee, class material, and targets. This class is 6 hours total (5 hours in class and 1 hour on the range).
You may bring your own firearm and ammo (50 Rounds). Firearms are allowed in the class. Make sure your firearm is in a bag or a case and unloaded. *Please be sure to have the correct caliber ammo for your firearm BEFORE you sign in for the class.
If you do not own a firearm you can rent firearms with ammo for $35. (Must request in advance)
There is no age minimum children ages 12-17 may attend with a parent present. Minors must be accompanied by an adult/guardian. Also, anyone under the age of 21 years old cannot legally purchase a handgun.
Students may bring their own firearms and ammo (50 Rounds). But live ammunition is not permitted in the building. Classes will take place in an indoor, temperature-controlled classroom.
Required Equipment:
Handgun, 50 rounds of ammunition and holster
Appropriate attire with closed toe shoes
Water/Snacks
Sunscreen if needed
Hearing and eye protection will be provided; but feel free to bring your own.
Due to the logistics involved in rescheduling classes you will only be allowed to reschedule once. If you are unable to attend the second-class date, you will forfeit any payments made.

All class payments are non-refundable but may be used towards another class or transferred to another student.
